Power supply was cut off in the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine following an attack by Ukrainian military forces in the area, Russian news agency RIA reported. Yevgeny Balitsky, the Russian-installed head of the region, said Ukrainian shelling damaged high-voltage equipment in northern Zaporizhzhia, leading to blackouts across the region. Russian news agency TASS noted that the nuclear power plant in the region was not affected by the power outage.
