Foreign Minister Gideon Saar held a press conference for foreign media, where he claimed that "international pressure on Israel during these critical days of negotiations for a ceasefire and hostage deal has already caused Hamas to harden its positions." Saar added: "We are witnessing a distorted campaign of international pressure against Israel in recent days, and this campaign fuels antisemitism. The second goal of that distorted campaign is to impose a Palestinian terror state on Israel. Israel will not be the Czechoslovakia of the 21st century. We will not sacrifice our very existence to appease countries."
