A magnitude 6 earthquake struck Costa Rica in Central America. This was reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Institute (EMSC). According to the report, the tremor occurred at a depth of 13 km. At the same time, according to a report from the German Research Institute for Geology (GFZ), a magnitude 5.7 earthquake was felt in the province of La Rioja in northern Argentina.
