The Knesset plenum approved in first reading a Student Rights Bill (Separate Study Tracks in Advanced Degrees) proposed by MK Limor Son Har-Melech (Jewish Power party). 48 Knesset members supported the proposal, while 40 opposed it. According to the proposal, legislation will clarify that the provision stating that separate study tracks for men and women for religious reasons will not be considered discrimination will also apply to master's and doctoral degree programs.
