The IDF said the shooting carried out overnight in the village of Hajjah in the Qalqilya area was directed at what was defined as 'key instigators' in the riot. The clashes began when settlers from the outpost adjacent to the village entered it after Palestinians threw stones at a drone and brought it down. When they entered the village, allegedly to retrieve the drone, clashes broke out between them and the residents - and a military force called to the scene responded with fire toward the Palestinians, who according to the IDF threw stones. A security source said that 'the fighters who rushed there arrived as a small force. A Palestinian mob ran toward them and threw stones, the force felt threatened and fired at key instigators. The matter is under investigation.' According to the Red Crescent, Omar Tubasi, a 20-year-old Palestinian, was killed in the incident and two others were wounded.
