Young Tel Aviv man arrested on suspicion of carrying out tasks for Iranians in exchange for crypto

Police arrested a 27-year-old Tel Aviv resident on suspicion of contact with a foreign agent and carrying out tasks for the Iranians, after the investigation revealed he contacted Iranian entities on social media and photographed several locations for them in exchange for thousands of shekels. This was announced in a joint statement by the Shin Bet and the police. It was further reported that among the photographed locations were the Tel Aviv Museum, Abramovich Garden in the Bavli neighborhood and the missile impact site on Jabotinsky Street in Ramat Gan. The sums of money received by the suspect were transferred via cryptocurrency in digital wallets.
