India: We shot down at least 5 Pakistani fighter jets during May fighting

|
The Indian Air Force commander said that during the fighting against Pakistan last May, Indian forces destroyed at least five fighter jets from the rival nation, in addition to another "large aircraft" that could have been an intelligence plane. The commander, Amar Preet Singh, noted that the aircraft was destroyed from a distance of about 300 km and claimed it was "the largest ground-to-air interception in history." Pakistan denied that India managed to shoot down any of its aircraft during the fighting and claimed it shot down at least six Indian fighter jets.
