The Iranian nuclear scientist assassinated by Israel yesterday morning in Tehran is Seyed Asghar Hashemitabar. Since the late 1990s, he has been considered one of the leading technical experts in projects involving pulse technologies, electron acceleration and shock wave generation - fields with direct military applications in missiles and nuclear research. In addition, Hashemitabar's name was included in the American sanctions list from 2019. According to the U.S. Treasury Department's definitions, he had a direct connection to projects with a possible military dimension of the nuclear program and took part in advanced technological developments in the field of propulsion systems and missile control.
