President Isaac Herzog held a toast with fighters of the Hasmonean Brigade ahead of Rosh Hashanah, in appreciation of IDF soldiers and service members. Herzog told the fighters that "service in the IDF is a noble, sacred and important mission, and Torah study is a supreme value in the Jewish people and the State of Israel. See yourselves as pioneers before the camp, as those who come to redeem the land and establish the first Haredi brigade in the history of the State of Israel."
