Defense Ministry Director General Maj. Gen. (res.) Emir Baram is traveling to Washington for a short working visit, at the behest of Defense Minister Israel Katz. Baram will hold a series of meetings with senior officials at the Pentagon and the State Department on advancing critical procurement deals for the campaign's development and deepening strategic cooperation between the countries. This comes after the government approved an emergency budget of 2.6 billion shekels for the purchase of weapons and combat equipment.
