IDF Spokesperson Lt. Col. Efi Dafrin was asked at a press conference about Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir's remarks in the cabinet, in which he warned of the shortage in the military's order of battle. He responded that "the IDF is short approximately 15,000 soldiers, of whom approximately 8,000 are combatants. The missions have expanded."
