Kibbutz Nir Oz spokesperson released a statement regarding the recovery of deceased Thai hostage Natfong Pinta, saying: "After a long period of serious concern for his life, our worker Natfong Pinta was recovered in a military operation, unfortunately no longer alive after being killed in captivity." The statement continued: "The news of his murder is devastating, but having certainty in this complex situation provides some comfort. We want to thank the security forces involved in the complex recovery operation. Additionally, we must reiterate what needs to be said: Natfong was taken alive, and he is the 14th hostage from Nir Oz who was killed in captivity."
