Seven conscripted soldiers serving in Unit 136 (Arrow defense system) of the Air Defense Array were arrested by military police investigators on suspicion of physical, psychological and sexual abuse of their unit comrades. According to suspicions, the acts were committed during hazing rituals over several weeks and allegedly included acts of sodomy. During initial questioning, some suspects claimed the acts were performed with mutual consent. Due to the severity of the case, Air Force Commander Major General Tomer Bar is personally involved in handling the incidents. The soldiers will appear before a military court following the military prosecution's request to extend their detention.
