Israel's Deputy Ambassador to the UN, Jonathan Miller, addressed the Security Council during a discussion on the Gaza Strip, reiterating the claim that Israel has no plans to remain in Gaza, as well as the five principles for ending the war determined by the Political-Security Cabinet last Thursday. "Israel will not control Gaza but will liberate its residents from Hamas, this will make the place better," he said and called out: "How can any of you ignore? Ignore and declare a Palestinian state?".
