Saudi TV channel Al-Hadath reported that Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas conveyed in a letter to French President Emmanuel Macron that 'Hamas's October 7 attack is unacceptable and deserves condemnation.' He added: 'We emphasize the need to disarm Hamas and remove it from power in Gaza.' According to an Elysée source, Macron received commitments from Abbas - ahead of the international committee for Palestinian issue settlement and implementation of the two-state solution - including condemnation of the October 7 massacre, calls for hostages' release, complete dismantling of Hamas, reform of the Palestinian Authority and holding elections within a year under international supervision.
