Former Knesset member Emily Moatti from the Labor Party, who is placed 14th on the Democrats' list, revealed that at the end of last summer she was diagnosed with breast cancer. "I didn't tell about it immediately," she wrote on social media, "to my shame, I feared they would pity me so please don't. I am also updating because I believe public figures should apply more stringent standards to themselves than others but mainly to appeal to each and every one of you, please get tested. Early detection saves lives." She added: "The hard part is already behind me. I am in good hands, recovery prospects are good and I am determined and committed to serve the public in any role I will hold."
