Among the measures being considered are visa cancellations and entry bans for court personnel, increased sanctions on the organization and affiliated bodies, and a reassessment of aid to partner countries that refuse to renounce the court's jurisdiction. Rubio emphasized that the U.S. has never recognized the court's authority: "It poses an intolerable threat to the sovereignty of the state."
