French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu told French television channel TF1 that European countries such as Belgium, the Netherlands and France possess mine-clearing capabilities that could help secure passage through the Strait of Hormuz. France and Britain are expected to hold a discussion today with 40 countries participating on the issue of the Strait of Hormuz. According to Lecornu, "There are capabilities to provide escort services for ships to ensure safe passage through the strait. This is what will be discussed today in Paris."
