Report: Iran informed Qatar and Oman it is not interested in ceasefire negotiations

|
Iran has informed Qatar and Oman that it is not open to negotiating a ceasefire while under Israeli attacks, according to an official source briefed on the contacts who spoke to Reuters. "The Iranians have informed mediators that they will only engage in serious negotiations after completing their response to the Israeli attacks," said the source who spoke on condition of anonymity. "Iran made it clear that it will not negotiate while under attack." The source added that media reports suggesting Iran had approached Oman and Qatar asking them to contact the United States to advance a ceasefire and resume nuclear talks are inaccurate.
