A missile launched from Iran was intercepted for the first time over Lebanese airspace. This was reported by Reuters based on two security sources in Lebanon. According to one of the sources, a foreign naval vessel carried out the interception. According to information received by the Lebanese Al-Nahar, initial security assessments indicate that the Iranian missile was aimed at the US Embassy in Awkar, Lebanon or the Hamat Air Base in Syria.
