Government: No State Commission of Inquiry now, not the time to investigate

|
During its weekly meeting, the government discussed establishing a state commission of inquiry as required by the Supreme Court, but decided that, in light of the war cabinet's decision to expand combat operations, now is not the time to investigate the October 7 massacre. Meanwhile, the government and Knesset will draft legislation to establish a 'special investigative committee' - which differs from an official state commission. The government decided to update the Supreme Court in 90 days.
