Bat Yam resident detained for allegedly trafficking protected natural treasures

Border Police and Nature and Parks Authority detained a 43-year-old Bat Yam resident on suspicion of possessing and trafficking protected natural treasures. As part of the authorities' operation, an undercover transaction was conducted at the suspect's home, during which he showed detectives protected marine specimens for sale and additional natural treasures in his possession. During a search conducted by detectives at the location, dozens of protected natural treasures that were illegally held for trafficking purposes were seized and transferred to the Nature and Parks Authority for further examination and handling.
