According to the Syrian Interior Ministry, the deadly attack on a church in Damascus was carried out by a suicide bomber affiliated with ISIS. "The terrorist infiltrated Mar Elias Church, opened fire and then blew himself up using an explosive belt," the ministry stated. The Syrian Health Ministry reported that at least 9 people were killed and 13 injured in the attack. Earlier, local media had reported that 25 people were killed.
