|
The Nature and Parks Authority reported a suspected poisoning of birds of prey in the Tzin Valley in the Negev. One griffon vulture died and another is suffering from poisoning symptoms. Following a distress alert received from a vulture, an authority inspector searched the area and found a goat bait with two griffon vultures nearby in Tzin Stream, one dead and the other showing signs of life. A poisoning protocol was activated to locate the vulture that signaled distress and other affected animals. The alert was received from a vulture that landed in Tzin Stream, which has a chick in the Tzin Valley.
