Louvre heist: Company owned by former Shin Bet chief Yaakov Peri investigating the case

|
Authorities investigating the heist at the Louvre Museum in Paris quickly sought external companies to assist in the investigation and as in previous cases focused on finding an international company to ensure the investigation wouldn't be covered up - and to rule out possible connections between investigators and the perpetrators of the heist. This was revealed to ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth. One of the companies that will investigate the case is CGI Group, owned by former Shin Bet chief Yaakov Peri. The company previously helped solve the "billion-dollar heist" in Germany in 2019, when jewelry and diamonds worth 113 million euros were stolen from a museum in Dresden.
