Bill to Shorten Law Internship Period Passes First Reading

The Knesset plenum approved in first reading a bill that would make the temporary provision for shortening the legal internship period permanent. According to Justice Minister Yariv Levin's proposal, the internship period will be reduced from 18 months to 12 months. The law was submitted after a year of implementing the temporary provision that established the reduction to accommodate reserve soldiers, and after it was deemed successful, it was decided to make it permanent.
