The Health Ministry reported Sunday that 248 Israelis have tested positive for coronavirus out of some 28,500 tests conducted since midnight, putting the country's contagion rate at 0.9%.
There are currently 44 coronavirus patients hospitalized in serious condition, 12 of them were connected to ventilators.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 6,436 Israelis have succumbed to coronavirus-related complications.
