Jabareen on withdrawing from coalition during war: 'We weren't elected to topple Netanyahu and bring him back'

|
President Isaac Herzog asked Joint List Chairman Yosef Jabareen during coalition-building consultations whether the list would leave the coalition if there is a significant military operation in Iran or Gaza. Jabareen responded that "we will make strategic decisions. The public did not elect us to topple Netanyahu and bring him back." Herzog continued: "We are in a struggle against jihad, local and global, where is the in-depth discussion on this issue?" Jabareen said: "There are no military solutions. We will not cooperate in any case with a radical right-wing opposition. We will know how to ensure we don't replace one situation with an even worse one."
