US authorities arrested Bryan Charles, a North Carolina resident, on suspicion of sending antisemitic threatening letters to Jewish organizations and leaders, including the Holocaust Memorial in Miami Beach and senior officials at the American Jewish Committee (AJC) and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). According to the federal complaint, Charles sent letters during June and July that included death threats to targets in Florida and Washington. FBI investigators identified Charles, who was previously convicted of similar offenses and served a prison sentence, through a fingerprint left on one of the letters and a return address that appeared on the envelopes.
