Danny Elgart Slams Netanyahu: 'Country Held Captive by Disconnected Leader Focused on Self-Preservation'

Roi Rubinstein|
Danny Elgart, whose brother Itzik was murdered in Hamas captivity and returned to Israel, criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a protest against the government at Rabin Square in Tel Aviv. He said, 'Instead of facing the public and apologizing for financing Hamas, Netanyahu held a press conference and dared to mock: They came with flip-flops.' Elgart added: 'This is what a country sounds like when held captive by a disconnected person who is busy saving himself instead of saving his people. If they came with flip-flops, how did they manage to break through Israel's defense line?'
