Democratic Party chairman Yair Golan addressed the attempt to appoint Yair Netanyahu as head of public diplomacy at the World Zionist Organization during an interview with ynet studio, saying: "National institutions typically allocate roles based on management ability and previous experience. Unfortunately, Likud has chosen to corrupt this as well. I find his public relations skills dangerous to the State of Israel." Regarding the report in ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth that Prime Minister Netanyahu is considering an "amendment" to the State Commission of Inquiry law, Golan said, "He is evading the simple truth in every possible way - he is responsible for the greatest failure in the history of the State of Israel and therefore he should go home."
