Attorney General's Petition to High Court: Examining Whether Gofman Improperly Communicated with Officer Who Would Investigate Him

|
In the wake of the 'urgent request' submitted by Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara to the High Court of Justice to provide new information against Prime Minister's Military Secretary and designated Mossad chief, Roman Gofman, it was published that the petition concerns Gofman's alleged interference in the continued employment in the Mossad of Colonel G. In fact, authorities are examining whether Gofman improperly communicated with the officer who would investigate him and failed to report it. Two days ago, the court ruled, as part of the petitions against Gofman's appointment, that Colonel G., former head of the Military Intelligence Directorate's operational division, will submit an affidavit regarding the phone conversation he had with Gofman concerning the affair of the handling of the minor Uri Almakias when he served as division commander in Northern Command.
