Meteorological Service: 'Last night was the hottest since measurements began in Israel'

A new temperature record was broken in Israel after last night was the hottest since measurements began in the country. Dr. Amir Givati, director of the Meteorological Service, updated that in Sodom the national minimum temperature record in Israel was broken overnight with 36.6 degrees Celsius, compared to 35.5 until now. Such high temperatures at night have never been measured in Israel before. Historical records were also broken in Eilat and Yotvata, which recorded temperatures of 35.8 and 33.7 degrees respectively last night.
