Two terrorists who are Israeli citizens will be deported from the country, marking the first time since the passage of the law to revoke citizenship and deport terrorists, sponsored by Coalition Chairman Ofir Katz. The first terrorist to be deported is Mahmoud Ahmed, who was convicted of a long series of shooting attacks against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians, weapons acquisition offenses and planning attacks, and was sentenced to 23 years in prison. He was released in 2024 and will be deported immediately. The second terrorist is Mohammed Ahmed Hussein Halasi, who was convicted of stabbing two elderly women in an attack at Armon Hanatziv in 2016, sentenced to 18 years in prison and will be deported upon his release.
