National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir harshly attacked Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara over her decision to indict Prison Service Commissioner Kobi Yakobov, subject to a hearing. "Baharav-Miara announced that she has completed fabricating a case against the Prison Commissioner through the Police Internal Investigations Department, her private and political police. The Attorney General is filing this political indictment for one reason: an attempt to intimidate officers who implement the policies of the elected officials, with the aim of politicizing the law enforcement system and preserving the rule of the deep state. I give full backing to Yakobov, who will of course remain in his position."
