Shir Matias, daughter of the late Shahar and Shlomi who were murdered in their home in Kibbutz Holit, spoke at a rally in Tel Aviv. She said that "1,000 days we have been waiting for accountability, for taking responsibility, for answers. I am not here to mark how much time has passed since the massacre, I am here to mark how long we have been abandoned. I am here to point to a government that disrespects our dead, that ignores our suffering and makes jokes at our expense. Everyone who had their hands on the wheel on October 7 needs to go home. Suits and uniforms alike. Only a state commission of inquiry, devoid of political characteristics, neutral and professional, can reveal the truth."
