Defense Minister Israel Katz held a security assessment marking 1,000 days since October 7, with the participation of IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Director General of the Defense Ministry Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Baram and other senior officials. Katz said in the discussion that "the IDF is currently in the security zones in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria and will not withdraw from them - and the IDF must prepare for a long-term stay in the area. Our forces are operating deep in the terror camps in Judea and Samaria, in Gaza the effort to destroy the tunnel infrastructure continues, and 83% of the tunnels in the Yellow Line area have already been destroyed. In Lebanon, Operation Plowshares continues at full force to destroy terror infrastructure in the first line of villages."
