The Business Forum, comprised of 200 economic leaders, said that the firing of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and the removal of Yuli Edelstein from the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee are "crossing a red line." According to the forum, "Ministers in the government speak against respecting Supreme Court orders and the Prime Minister does not stop them. The Israeli economy will not stand by if Supreme Court orders are violated and thus severely damage Israeli democracy. If the government does not obey the law, why should citizens obey? This is crossing a red line with consequences we will not cooperate with."
