Amit Eidan, whose brother Ynet photographer Roi Eidan was murdered along with his wife Smadar on October 7, spoke at the October Council exhibition marking three years since the massacre. Amit said in his speech: "A few months ago, my son Omri had a conversation with Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana. Omri asked a simple question - why hasn't a state commission of inquiry been established? Ohana's answer - we have no trust in the court system. I also have a question for you, Ohana: Who are you to not recognize the judicial system? What are you afraid of? We are waiting for the obvious: Say 'we were wrong,' and end your chapter in the history of the people of Israel. Let us start picking up the pieces."
