|
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir held a discussion yesterday during which an updated combat schedule for regular forces and reserves was approved, in accordance with the operational situation assessment. This was announced by the IDF spokesperson. Following the discussion, updated summons were sent to reservists. The statement noted that "The IDF conducts ongoing situational assessments to examine ways to ease the burden on reservists. The IDF is aware of the implications of the short notice period, understands and acknowledges the complexities for service members and their families, but emphasizes that this is an operational necessity." Additionally, it was reported that the Personnel Directorate has developed a response that includes subsidized summer camps, babysitting services for children and recreational events for service members' families.
