Religious Zionism party chairman Bezalel Smotrich commented on the return of Sgt. Zvi Feldman's remains, stating that '"there is no nation or state that even after 40 years spares no effort to return fallen soldiers and bring them to burial in Israel. This powerful mutual responsibility stands at the foundation of our existence and is deeply embedded in our values and identity." Shas chairman Aryeh Deri added: "This moving action proves Israel's deep Jewish commitment to every soldier and every Jew, even after half a century. This commitment resonates within us also regarding the hostages still held captive by Hamas."
