Foreign Minister Gideon Saar responded to the arsons in the Palestinian village of Jalud. He said, "The riots overnight in the area of the village of Jalud in Samaria, which included arson of property and injury to Border Police fighters, are severe and abhorrent. Those who commit these criminal offenses and occupy the Border Police and IDF fighters and even harm them are criminals who must be dealt with to the full extent of the law. They harm our values. They harm Jewish settlement. They harm Israel."
