Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman arrived at the scene of the murder of security guard Pavel Rozov in Lod and said that in the next government his party will demand the Interior Security portfolio. Rozov was shot dead on his way to work at the police station in the city. Liberman said that "the reality is clear. Crime and terrorism are rising at an unprecedented rate. There is no governance, no deterrence and no control. No one is immune. Not Arabs, not Jews. Every citizen in the country is in danger." He attacked National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir: "The current government fails time after time to restore security to citizens."
