After government ministers blamed Yair Golan for responsibility in the antisemitic attack in Washington, President Isaac Herzog called: 'Stop the ugly mud fights, understand the magnitude of responsibility and restrain your statements.' According to him, 'The despicable murderer in Washington has no interest in internal Israeli political opinions. He carried out a criminal act of terror driven by antisemitism and deep hatred. We must act together resolutely in the fight against hatred and antisemitism - not in fighting among ourselves.'
