The distribution of food packages in the Gaza Strip is a dramatic event with significant impact, according to IDF assessments. Currently, there is no humanitarian crisis, the medical situation is under control, and issues with water, fuel and gas in Gaza are at reasonable levels. Additionally, supplementary aid arriving in the Strip is not being collected by the UN, partly due to the organization's lack of motivation to deal with it. Moreover, there is a general atmosphere of lack of control in the Strip, indicating that the public is no longer deterred by Hamas. Meanwhile, the American company manning the aid distribution points is studying the situation in Gaza, and four more distribution points are expected to open.
