Fire in Wadi Ara Brought Under Control

|
Fire and rescue services reported that a fire near Mu'awiya in Wadi Ara has been brought under control. Upon arrival, forces discovered it was a brush fire that had spread to a forested area. Five firefighting teams operated at several points and stopped the fire front in the northern sector. Simultaneously, the 'Elad' aerial firefighting unit assisted ground forces using firefighting aircraft that dropped foam over the fire sites. It was later discovered that piles of waste and cardboard were also burning at the location, so smoke is expected to continue to be visible in the area in the coming hours.
