"A Tramway in Jerusalem," the documentary film by Israeli director Amos Gitai, was received with sympathy and applause at the 83rd Venice Film Festival. However, at the end of the premiere screening, a Palestinian flag was raised by one of the audience members, accompanied by calls of Free Palestine. At the press conference as well, one of those present complained that the event management does not fly the Palestinian flag over the festival palace.
