Attorneys general from several U.S. states have launched an investigation into OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT. The Wall Street Journal reported this, citing several sources involved in the matter. According to the report, the artificial intelligence company was issued an extensive subpoena requesting documents related to a variety of activities and their impact on users, including advertising, user engagement and retention, as well as handling of consumer data and health data. The subpoena, sent by the New York attorney general, also requests information on activities related to minors and senior citizens, and deep learning models.
