IDF Spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari addressed the unusual incident in Khan Younis, stating in a declaration that "The fighters identified more than 15 terrorists who emerged from a tunnel shaft and opened fire, including RPG fire, toward our forces. In the battle that developed around the outpost, our forces repelled the terrorists. We are investigating how this incident was possible, and will draw the necessary conclusions."
