Prime Minister Naftali Bennett eulogized Border Police Staff Sergeant Barel Hadaria Shmueli who succumbed to his wounds Monday after being gravely hurt during clashes with Palestinians along the Gaza Strip border.
"It is with deep sorrow that I received the news of the passing of border policeman Barel Hadaria Shmueli who fell in defense of Israel's security," Bennett said.
"There are not enough words to console the family. Barel was a fighter in life and a fighter in death. He fought for his life until the very last moment, while the whole nation of Israel prayed for him."
